The hat is knitted around in stockinette stitch with narrow stripes and rib on ear flaps and edge. You start knitting the i-cord strings and increase to the ear flaps, so you avoid assembly. The pattern also has the option to knit the hat without the strings and ear flaps from 1 year and up. This is a thin and nice hat that is good to have for both baby and toddler.
